Tuesday Night Blind Tasting $70+ (Roswell, GA): Corked
Do you find this review helpful? Yes - No
Opened up quite nicely after about an hour of decanting. I'm a Spottswoode fan and this reinforced my opinion.
Much more fruit than I expected, plummy and soft, very little tannin. Never a tannic monster, but less than anticipated.
Too jammy and ripe for my liking. Nose of cassis syrup. Full bodied, with some grippy tannins remaining and bright acidity. Long finish, though quite sweet. 14.1% abv.
Ready now, yet not the depth of some of the better years of this wine.
