  Decanted 4 hours, consumed over 2 1/2 hours. Candied black cherry & berry preserves on the nose. Dense on the palate, with concentrated fruit notes dominating. High acidity but no heat showing from the 15.1% abv, and strangely enough, very low in tannin.
  
  This is an unusual wine - not readily identifiable as cab, and not really showing its age except for a slight brown tinge in the color. Blind, I might have guessed a modern CdP or Languedoc from 2009 or so. No reason to rush on drinking these if you have one.

  Very unusual cab. Hint of vanilla on the nose, quite strong vanilla on the palette initially leading to a slight tannic finish. Smooth and light for a cab. Did I say unusual but still nice.
