Community Tasting Notes (4)

  • Nothing but sour, sour milk on the nose, absolutely flat on the palate. The only bad one in the bunch, so I'm not complaining.

  • consistent tn's. Solid across three nights. Cork 2 cm soaked, color not yet golden. Delicious, though acids are waning. Drink thru 2014. 14,0% abv

  • Aerated to decanter 30 minutes, served non-blind. The only one to have a broken cork, but the best of the lot so far when it came time to drink. Medium gold, good reflections. Fully mature aromas still offer a sense of freshness even if it's a more evolved sense. The same is true for the palate - while there's no outright sense of tension, it's there, just evenly integrated, silently doing its job. Excellent with Pad Thai and loads of fresh cilantro and Sriracha. 14,0% abv, thru 2014

  • PnP consumed over 2 nights, night #2 showing slightly better. Dark straw toward gold, good reflections. The r/s has fully integrated, the wine rather harmonious if just past peak drinking. Nonetheless, quite tasty and still going thanks to a panoply of orchard fruit and good/vg acids. Spicy, soft and subtly elegant. I've 5 left that I will drink over the next 18 months. Cork was 1/3 soaked, in vg cond. 14,0% abv
