Same notes as last time, but this time we paired it with a Pancetta pea pasta in a sundried tomato cream sauce. The lovely full body paired well with the food, and the fruit shone through. Excellent at this price point.
PnP from 56F wine fridge and drank over 2 hrs. This wine showed best warmer, but still cooler than room temp, say 65-70. Yellow with a tinge of gold in color, with aromas and flavor of stone fruit, oak, pineapple, and butter. This is a solid full bodied chardonnay. The long creamy finish goes on and on, and has more complexity than expected. This is a heavily (26% new Fench) oaked Cali chard which possesses enough fruit for balance, and as such is not a chard for the less oak crowd.
