A mature and quite lactic nose with butterscotch, cashew, cream, pear, bitter almonds, and sherry notes that become less evident with air time. At first the nose came across a little tired, but it freshened up some with air time. Mid to full bodied, forward, and beautifully proportioned. Deep, yet with good lift and a sense of chalkiness and power without weight. The palate is fresher than the nose with excellent cut, a sense of stony/chalkiness, and breadth without any heaviness. I suspect this was better a couple years ago. Excellent with popcorn with white truffle salt. Drink up.

Casual Burg Dinner with Friends (The Bristol - Chicago IL): Lush, ripe apple and pear aromas with some sweet baking spice. Similar on palate with some peach as well and good concentration. Forward and slightly advanced, probably at its peak now. Perhaps the best I recall from this wine. Leflaive 2004s have often been good or great, but also often inconsistent.

Femenine Sense of Wines (Cuenllas - Madrid): A green pepper splash! Yeastie, yeastie. Reduced to my taste. Woody indeed. Oxidation? Well don't think it is here but seems very young. With time sunflowers seeds and a little sweetness of honey, pears A serious complexity is showed Lovely.
¡Bofetada de pimientos verdes! A levadura-levadura. Para mi reducida. Amaderada sin duda. ¿Oxidación? No lo creo aquí pero parece muy joven. Con tiempo pipas y un poco de dulzura con miel, peras. Muestra una complejidad seria. Muy rica.
