Surprisingly elegant with yellow fruit, white flowers and pretty vanilla oak. For a Perrieres, it was quite light but it was compensated by its elegance.

Perrieres Tasting (Chez Winefool): Gorgeous, full aromas of orchard fruit with intense nut, floral and match stick. Fantastic power and depth. Fruit is still sweet and lightly candied while fresh and lively. Nice spice, mineral and match stick complexity in the finish. Brilliant mature wine.

A very mineral nose on wet stone. With aeration will come the popcorn.
On the palate, it is not the most powerful Meursault that I have drunk, but it has an obvious presence. Quiet strength. The attack is honeyed, with a beautiful worked substance and an acidity which brings freshness and tension. The wine is hardly 24 years old, it remains very young. Wet stone is omnipresent, you have the impression of licking it, that's extremely pleasant to drink and unfolds its full potential. It’s sleek and strong without being imposing. Very nice finish with a herbaceous hint mixed with citrus fruits which gives a noble length. Excellent.

Perrières Tasting: Mostly Meursault Whites, plus Méo-Camuzet Reds (The Winefool - Chicago IL): Single blind in Lafon/ Morey flight. Lots of ripe and tart apple plus baked apple. Certainly mature, but superbly complex and layered. A few years past its absolute peak (I had better/ fresher bottles in 2014 and 2017), but still so enticing.
