  • San Antonio Wine Region in Chile - 3 Great Tastings (San Antonio, Chile): During a visit to the winery in Lo Abarca, had this one in their restaurant with a great lunch. As an aperitif, nicely chilled, had been open long enough to show.

Light gold color, some green tint. Nose had orchard fruits, and classic German Riesling note of mild petrol. Nicely textured palate of tart apples, key lime, honey, citrus. Some spice on the mid palate, short(er) finish.

Overall nice wine, I am generally not a fan of German/Alsatian varietals grown outside that region, they tend to lack the viscosity, minerality and complexity of the home region wines...this was good but falls into the same category. Cool climate produces nice fruit in this region, must be the soil differential or what my palate expects...I put this into the good but not great category. Great winemakers at CM and beautiful spot for Pinot and Syrah

  • Apesar dos 5 anos de vida continuava guardando frescor e acidez. Nariz caracteristico da riesling, boca com delicada doçura residual. Belo exemplar. Melhor se degustado mais jovem.

  • Greenish gold. The nose is completely overshadowed by heavy diesel fumes, with traces of green fruits somewhere underneath that blanket of hydrocarbons, some guava and honey too. Full bodied on the palate, nice apple fruits, some RS, good acidic bite. Finishes well with tart apple and quite a bit of grape skin malic acidity. Good wine. Just slightly short of excellence because it lacks the German minerals and poised acidity that you would look for in a top notch Riesling.

  • The wine looks Colorless colored. The legs are Fast. It smells like Lemon, and Melon. It tastes like muted Clove, and a faint hint of Strawberry. The body is Light. The wine has Smooth texture. The wine finishes Short. Overall this wine was not overly sweet.
