Popped and poured Red fruit (raspberry, strawberry), floral, spice, good acidity. Violet. Nice earth. Nice elegance. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.

"Baby are you okay? You've barely touched your Char-spookerie." (Chicago, IL): Served double blind. Bizarre wine that showed lots of greenness and thinness but not pyrazines, so the closest thing in my mind was 2004 red Burgundy. Dirty and weedy, this didn't move the needle at all for me. Slightly reduced as well, but that dissipated with air.

Anita: Dark purple w/slight faded brown hue around edge; fantastic nose off the bat--dark fragrant leather, exotic spice; wow--super smooth entry, fine and mellow t’s; nice a’s w/some mineraly spice and blk berry; long finish, very classy, turned minerally and steely after an hour--too delicate and soft for burgers, though! Next time it’s gotta be CdR! Great 2nd night, too--more musty, soft.
