Medium gold in colour, heading towards amber. Pronounced nose of cooked apple, dried apricot, walnut honey. Outstanding, probably at it's peak or perhaps slightly past it.

Deep gold. Straw, hay, honeysuckle, Lemon curd, nettles, honeysuckle, some tropical fruits. Finishes with a lingering herbal spice. Nothing oxidative, still quite youthfull.

Soapy floral nose - quite fresh given the age.
Similar chamomile and jasmine on the palate - clean and relatively crisp

An evening with Sorrel and Gerin (Uncorked, Bishopsgate): Smooth, savoury and quite mature. Some creamy nuttiness, and decent length, but feels a bit tired; not at all faulty, but apparently not the best bottle.

Quite rich, spice, broad, yet focused; it has the fatness of the vintage, but is in no way flabby. Mature, but not declining.
