  First bottle sent back in restaurant - close to corked and significantly over-mature. Second better and drinkable with residual richness. Clearly past it's best and disappointing given price and reasonable expectations. Poor storage? I've had disappointing Villard Condrieu in the past, so wonder if there's something else at play here

  Oeil très dorées, quasiment or.
  Le nez est dominé dès le départ par un boisée, un touche crèmeuse & des épices vertes. On dirait quasiment un chardo à ce moment. L'ensemble est opulent. Avec le temps, les arômes prennent plus de définitions & on y retrouve des notes de mangues & d'ananas & un petit qqchose de pierre à fusil. L'ensemble devient harmoniex avec le temps.
  La bouche & bien riche & ronde. L'ensemble montre une belle complexité avec un boisé bien intégré, de la crème & les épices (on y retrouve les arômes perçus au nez). Tout est bien tenu en équilibre par une bonne aciditée qui apporte une bonne allonge. Très bon!
