Lots of range in the previous comments by others. My second bottle tasted about 10 months since the first. Observations: time favors this wine and it is coming into its own now and in 2014. Green notes turn into cinnamon and cherry and the barrel, tannins are well integrated. It is a different profile than the typical Willamette Pinot which can explain some of the disappointment. It tastes much Burgundian than American with its emphasis on structure in the midpalette (oak, vanilla). So I judge it relative to other Burgundian and find it a nice try and enjoyable.
I must be the exception but I found this to be a very good Pinot. Granted I am not a big Pinot drinker, primarily because my wife does not care for them but also because I find many to be too light in body and all too simple in taste. With this wine, I found it to have a good mid weight body, smooth balanced taste and a pleasing finish. Granted it was not an extremely complex flavor, but definitely more flavors than other pinots I've had. I hope my next three are the same.
