Wow. Found this at a store last week. $9.00 close out. Excited to deep dive into this. Being new to the wine game getting to drink 10 year old wines are a rare chance.
Cork had little eatage, about 1/8 an inch of very dark seapage. Smelled the wine and was not corked. LUCKY ME.
A beautiful dark garnet color with brick hues. Nice legs, but they're tired of walking. The nose on this wine is phenomenally complex. Cinnamon, gravely, paprika, pomegranate, and citrus. I'm so anxious to start sipping this. The tension is building.
With a small, careful sip. You can feel the textures of the tannins breaking down. Much thicker then your average Nebbilo. Tastes of chocolate, cherry, and apple skin gives you an interesting taste with complexity and eveness through the finish.
With a clench mouth and feeling the enamel peeling off my teeth, I can honestly say this wine has aged amazingly. This could hold up with any dry age steak you throw at it and still be able to knock it out of the park. It still has a good year or three left in it and I'm so excited I got to try such an interestingly aged grape!
Cheers!

Much better than the last one. Fragrant nose and good start but lacks depth and finish
