  • Very fruit forward. Paired well with a spicy lentil soup because not too high in alcohol. Not spectacular, but fine for a rainy Monday night after a long day.

  • A lighter Zinfandel - not a giant, alcohol laden fruit bomb - and I'm ok with that. Raspberry and dark cherry on the nose, somewhat of cranberry flavor, with surprisingly soft tannins and well-balanced with acidity. Long finish.

  • Decanted almost 2 hrs. ahead. Deep purple-plum color. Simple nose of blueberries, with the barest of earth notes. Light to medium in body, with a bit of jam on the palate and some cranberry flavors. This wine is not rich enough to be a fruit bomb; rather it's toward the lighter end of the zin scale. Finishes quickly with iron filings over light tannins and some lively acids. Nothing particularly remarkable or memorable, just a decent glass of fairly light-bodied and juicy zin. The label, with its hints of vineyard specificity, could lead you to hope for something more developed, but "Dillon Springs Road" is a designation, not a vineyard. So drink it every day with pleasure.
