Fully mature. Muted nose, with black fruit, chocolate, smoke, and warm spice. Palate was very nice, with nice rounded acidity, reddish fruit, mint, and slightly drying tannins on the finish. It won't get any better, I don't think, but was delicious with a steak, and the QPR is hard to beat.

Color dark brick. Smell of pebber. Taste of grenache and some sweetness from syrah. Soft tannin. Lacking fruit. Drink it now.
Day 2 over the hill.

Last bottle of the 2009. A bit past its prime. Fruit was very muted. Still one of my favorite wines.

Nice wine. My last bottle of 2009. Nice with dinner. A bit tough on its own beforehand.
