  Drinking well, but could use another couple years still. Great backbone, peppery dark berries, some saddle leather, one of the better wines at the party.

  This is some easy drinking Syrah... minimal oak and gentle structural elements let the fruit take center stage, both nose and palate show nice blackberry and blueberry flavors. Some dry earth does show but only lightly with no funkiness. The finish closes with some light tartness, but overall the feel here is very gentle. The previous tasted mentioned the wine was polished, and I would agree. The feel and weight on the palate are very nice. Flavor-wise pretty simple, but delicious and easy to drink and understand. Works well with food as it's lighter intensity allows the flavors to blend with your dish instead of overwhelm it.

  Garnet ruby with medium viscosity in the glass. Rasberry, plum sweet tobacco, cedar, vanilla and citrus on the nose. Medium body and silky with polished red and dark fruit on the palate. Pleasing herbs. Nicely integrated tannin. Decent structure. Medium finish. Very nice.
