Monthly Tasting Group: Pizza Night (Black Sheep, Mpls, MN): Very light gold color. I'm somewhat dismayed that I haven't had this for over a year. I must be slipping. This bottle was very bright showing crisp pear, fresh and focused, always well done. Note to self - go get some of these again.
Compliments of JetBlue. Served cold and fresh at 35k feet; mad props. Fine bead, barely sweet, crisp. Green apple, ginger, lemon, plain toast. Pretty finish that hangs on for the better part of a minute. Always a great sparkler at any altitude.

(NV Roederer Estate Brut Sparkling Wine Anderson Valley) From the moment you pop the cork, you can smell this aromatic sparker which is woven with fresh baked bread notes, yeast, pear, and spices. The oak ageing here provides the palate with a bit of extra richness and depth leading to a lingering finish. An outstanding sparkling wine at this price.
