Rockss and Fruit

  • By Lyle Fass
3/29/2003, (See more on Rockss and Fruit...)

(Daphne Glorien "Laurel") Nose of spicy oak, cayene pepper, earth, nutmeg, tree bark, red fruits. Darker fruit flavors started to emerge on the nose after some aeration. Beautiful aromatics. Seamless on the palate with gobs of dark red fruits and cashmere-like tannins. Great balance here and just the right amount of acid. This is very rich with stellar concentration and shows a very high level of winemaking.
