Fully mature NAPA cab drinking well now. Brought to a restaurant, so it was popped and poured without a decant. It was beautiful right from the start, but it really progressed with time in the glass and it became really great. It had an alluring nose of violets, black berries and cherries. On the palate, it was full bodied, smooth, and mouth coating. Initially, I felt that it was a little over extracted, but it rounded out nicely with air, over the next hour, with tastes of currants, black cherries, pencil shavings, licorice, and tar. It’s Howell Mountain fruit tasted ripe and fresh. Overall, the wine was clean, balanced, structured, and nuounced, with a long finish. Tannins were smooth. Drink now for maximum enjoyment.

A friend brought a bottle to dinner last night and it was amazing. It had a great, but prominent nose. The wine is dark purple and it goes down smooth and easy with dark fruit and cassis. There's a lot of structure left in this Cab and the tannins are resolving well. I never heard of this wine, so if you can find it, buy it
