  • Consistent with 8/13 note. Really nice in a rich, unctuous style.

  • A beautiful, full bodied white. Apricot, melon, honey and pear. Long tart finish. Drinking very well right now. Wish I had more of this one for $30 or so.

  • Not a varietal that I am familiar with. In fact I think this was the only one in my cellar. But now I am asking myself why? I was looking for a wine that I thought would go with our cold weather comfort food and decided upon this. What a great choice! Miner did an awesome job with this. It reminded me of a cross between a Viognier and Chardonnay.

Tree fruits were prominent on this very full-bodied wine. The mouthfeel was buttery but without the strong oak you get from a like Chard. Well balanced and the fruit on the front of the palate morphs into a very elegant, rocky-earth finish. I'm not sure why more wineries don't use this as a primary varietal. Well done Miner. I will be seeking this out now.

  • Tasted At Miner Family Winery today, light citrus and butterscotch life saver on the nose, more of the same on the palate, tasted slightly warm-probably better chilled, viscous, mouth coating, medium/light body, nice pleasant finish and aftertaste.

  • Really delicious, well made wine. After having a bottle of the previous vintage and being really into it except for the alcohol spike and therefore perplexed overall, but then thinking about seeking out more and not finding it, up pops the '10 on last bottle, so I had to go for 3.

Well, I'm really glad I did, and I would note that this time around I side-by-side tested my general white wine glasses with my new Riedel Oaked Chardonnay glasses, and it made a HUGE difference, and surprisingly to me, the difference was more in the flavor than the aroma--the general glasses had a definite alcohol spike I remember from the last vintage as well, but the Riedels had no such thing.

Straw to light golden in color. Pineapple, vanilla, and river rock on the nose. Medium to full bodied, with a viscous mouthfeel, good acidity, and a long finish. Flavors of pineapple, vanilla, mineral, some fresh herbs, and a bit of a smokey note. Really nice. Someone mentioned a "sake-ness," and I get that. We actually said pineapple infused tequila. Major delicious factor here. Wish I had more than 2 left. Decant and drink out of oaked chard glasses if you can.
