This is a very good value wine. I'm a very avid bordeaux drinker, so to say a cheaper bottle like this amused me is a compliment. It has an espresso, chocolate and raspberry liquor nose and surprisingly has a very balanced finish. It also has oodles of glycerine, so expect a nice little chewy long lasting mouthful. In any case, for $25 or less, this vintage is well worth it. Be sure to give it a little decant before you judge it, it certainly came off a little green until around 90 mins in.

Nose was road tar, earth and black fruit. Medium + weight, palate was ripe fruit, with tarry, rubbery undertones. Length was impressive. Sipped along side 2009 Bodegas Borsao Campo de Borja Berola Garnacha blend and with burgers and molasses beans. Both did well with the burgers, but the Malbec was a star with the beans. Very unusual flavors that don't appeal to my palate but it is a well made wine. The table preferred the Malbec based on what was left in the bottles.
