The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry jam, plum and toast. It tastes like black currant (cassis), vanilla and black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. It was so much better than the dinner that it stole the evening. Amazing wine.

Delicious Rhone style wine that went well with lamb chops and fresh green beans cooked with garden tomatoes and sweet onions. This wine is delicious now with great Syrah (2/3) fruit with the wonderful finish of a great Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignaon (1/3). Fruity, balanced pepper, good tannins. I plan to buy more and put it down for a couple of years. I think it will grow and improve for four or five years at least.
