Tiny wine on day one, much better after long decant. Cherries and slight leather-coffey aromas. Balanced with M++ acids, M tannins and a good food wine for anything tomato-based. Will probably not evolve complexities over time, but this is solid for what it is. Cheapest wine I ever bought that was also very good.

Luckily we found 5 more. This btl not aerated enough. Cherries and a fine structure. Great food wine, however not filling up as previous one. Half btl left for further trials on Friday (tomorrow). Next one in 2014.

A seriously built wine with the price-tag of a home-made wine. Weak upon POP but beefed up tremendously after 48 hrs of slow ox. Rich cherry-coffee taste, rough M+ tannins with some stemmy bitterness, M+ acids, mature fruit, M body. Has that ethereal cherry lift on the finish. Builds up well in the mouth and finishes long. Enough complexity to be interesting several dinners in a row. A keeper for now. At 34 SEK (USD5.50, €4.30) this is a fabulous no-brainer!
Note to self: next time I see a Chianti Riserva from a great vintage at this price... Do NOT feel suspicious, I repeat: do NOT feel suspicious about quality and buy only one btl. Praise the lard and get at least a case!

Let this one slow-ox for 30 hrs and it made the wine jump with rustic and earthbound aromas but thin out as well.
More interesting but less satisfying...

For a Chianti Classico from a great vintage, it is shakey. For a remarcably low-cost wine it delivers incredible passion and pleassure.
Same as previous TN's from here, score is from today's presentation int he Hall of Kings :-)
Cherry, baked cherry, cherry spice, cherry pie, red cherries, cherry poping, cherry *****, cherry jam...
