Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of herbs du Provence, black berries and a dash of balsamic. Flavors of black berries, black currants, black cherries and a bit of plum. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink over the short term, perhaps the medium term?

Neal Family SVD (My House): Day 1 - Decanted for 4 hrs. Upon opening I noticed that there was something off about this wine. Served with buffalo meatloaf, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and organic green beans. Light garnet in color. On the palate, austere, green bell pepper & herbacious. Not at all in the flavor profile of the winery. IMO this wine was spoiled.

Off bottle. Not terrible so, but enough that I shouldn't rate it.

Pepper, bell pepper, light cherry on a light somewhat herbaceous quality. I think It stood out from the other 9 bottlings due to the 13.5% alcohol.
