South America blind tasting with HWZ group (Extra Space, Boon Keng): I like the nose, intense and very expressive, lots of fresh cut grass and wild gooseberries. The palate has a nice wild fruit core wrap by layers of herbaceous, grassy notes. High in acidity but fresh. Showing better mid-palate weight than previous tasting. Finishing well too. It is a nice Chilean Sauvignon Blanc but some people may find it too herbaceous and high in acidity. It definitely taste better with food today.

Concha Y Toro wine tasting (Crystal Wines): Light pale straw with greenish tinge, powerful and expressive nose of wild gooseberry, pink guava, and fresh cut grass. It has racy acidity and palate showing plenty of herbaceous tones with subtle notes of gooseberry and mineral. Finish with a decent lenght. I found it nice and promising on the nose but palate was a let down and not intense as some NZ SB.

Very light straw color. Interesting aromas of red bell pepper, ginger, lime, a hint of melon and peach. Initially, a touch of sweetness at the tip of the tongue then the lively acidity attacks. Refreshing with melon, lemon (or is it lemongrass?), ginger and green mango with a touch of bitterness. Nicely done!

Surprisingly good after all these years. There were no grassy notes left, just subtle herbs, citrus, and stone fruit.

Nice grassy sauvignon blanc. Nice fruit, light bodied. Drank with wahoo. Drank in Scottsdale restaurant $45 on wine list. Would drink again.
