The 90's DRC's left us crying today, to me this bottle was drinkable but with a touch of VA that made me want to chug it before it got worse. Honestly there were so many off bottles today the discussion was detracting from the joy of those that were alright.

This is astonishingly youthful and nowhere near its apogee. Still, it's a mighty impressive wine, with explosive dark fruit on the nose and palate and layers of depth. A real kick of spice takes things to another level. The structure is still pretty firm, but I'll drink this all day. This is my first '93 DRC, and I've read lots of mixed impressions, but I found this very convincing. Note this may be behind the aging curve, as it came from Bern's ice-cold cellar. That also means this had perfect provenance. FWIW, the Bern's wine director said he thinks the '93 GE is the best-drinking '93 DRC at the moment.

The 93 vintage for DRC is inconsistent based on my experience. The wine is warm, dark fruit driven and a bit unresolved. Very similar to Xavier’s comment below. 90-91

Still showing youthful, but it's pedigree was showing through as well.

DRC Montrachet Vertical: Drinking very young. Feels like it's still not full mature and was a touch below the impressive 91 in this flight.
