  Very nice Priorat wine, opened the bottle one hour before drinking, very round and smooth drinking experience. Dark fruit, leather, perfect now but could have some years to go....

  Direkt nach dem Öffnen probiert
  - Farbe: konzentriert, schwarz-rot
  - Bouquet: schöne Frucht / Pflaume, Teer
  - Toll integrierter Priorat. Authentisch. Typisch für Cuvée und Region. Allerdings nicht besonders komplex
  - Wirklich gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Toller Wein.

  Mas d'en Compte 2010 vs Xavier Anonyme 2007:
  - Farbe: Beide tiefrot und konzentriert. Der Xavier mit ein wenig bräunlicher Färbung aber nicht dominierend.
  - Der Xavier ist ein schöner Wein, schmeckt aber doch etwas "sprittig". Nicht ungewöhnlich für einen CdP, trotzdem nicht so mein Geschmack.
  - Der Compte ist runder, integrierter und balancierter. Allerdings auch konzentriert und vollmundig.
  - Compte für mich der klare Sieger. Xavier ist okay aber reicht nicht an die Erwartungen in den Beschreibungen heran.

  A really high-class Priorat wine, a cuvée made up of 50 % Garnatxa (from more than 100-year-old vines planted on the intensely steep slopes surrounding the village of Porrera / minuscule yields), 45 % Samsó (Carinyena) and 5 % Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine spent 14 months in new barriques (70 % French, 30 % American oak). Intense, dark ruby-red color with a dense black core and a seductive bouquet with copious notions of sweet blackberries, blueberries, licorice, leather and also some spiced and balsamic aromas. The masculine but extremely elegant palate reveals terrific fruit intensity, a viscous mouth feel, well-integrated alcohol and velvety tannins. A wine of exceptional depth and concentration ; the oak might be a tad too dominant at present, but it will subsume itself with additional aging. Long decisive finish. The wine is surprisingly drinkable now (hard to resist), but it has all the components to age well and will be magnificent in 4-6 years (if you've got the patience). Needs to be decanted 2-3 hours before tasting.
  
  Een Priorat-wijn met grote klasse, een cuvée samengesteld uit 50 % Garnatxa (geteeld op de bijzonder steile hellingen rondom het dorpje Porrera, uit wijnstokken van meer dan 100 jaar oud met uiterst laag rendement ), 45 % Samsó (Carinyena) en 5 % Cabernet Sauvignon. De wijn verbleef 14 maanden in nieuwe barriques (70 % Franse, 30% Amerikaanse eik). Intense, donkere robijnrode kleur met een dichte zwarte kern en een verleidelijk bouquet met overvloedige nuances van zoete bramen, bosbessen, zoethout, leder en ook wat kruidige en balsamische aroma’s. Een mannelijke maar zeer elegante wijn met een buitengewone fruit-intensiteit, een viskeuze mondvulling, fraai geïntegreerde alcohol en fluwelige tannines. Een wijn met uitzonderlijke diepgang en concentratie; de houttoets is nu misschien nog wat dominant, maar hij zal mooi versmelten bij verdere rijping. Lange, overtuigende finale. Deze wijn is nu al verrassend goed op dronk (moeilijk om er aan te weerstaan), maar heeft een uitstekend ontwikkelingspotentieel en zal in 4-6 jaar op zijn hoogtepunt zijn (althans als je zoveel geduld hebt). Best 2-3 uur op voorhand te decanteren.
