  An exotic wine that I wish wasn't so exotic. Nose has big fruit, plum, earth, red and black fruits, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some developing leather. Palate is big with mouthcoating flavors, powerful tannins, and a balancing perceived sweetness from al the fruit on the attack. Medium finish on this beautiful wine. My hope is that this winery will get to evolve it's style and continue to demonstrate what this region can produce.

  Bordeaux blend plus syrah, forward and round. The nose is a touch bolgheri to be honest, with dominant Cabernet Sauvignon, light oak, light spice and quite a bit of fruit. On the palate it is round, medium weight and forward on the fruit. Of a generic style of wine that could have been made anywhere. Decent and enjoyable but not memorable. 87

  With dinner tonight; no notes taken. Medium(+) ruby, slow viscous narrow legs. Medium(-) nose of black fruits, tobacco and spice. Dry, medium acidity, medium-medium(+) chalky tannins, medium body and medium(+) alcohol. Smooth, medium flavours of blackberry, jam, dried fruits, tobacco, pepper, wood. Glycerine-like texture, rather complex. Medium length with dry finish. A jammy wine, more Oz then EU.
