This bottle only light-mid gold, and despite evident freshness there is also oxidation just starting to creep ahead of the fruit (to my taste). Though I know these wines will go decades, it's highly subjective at what point one dives in, and I think that oxidation can come at the expense of fruit without offering a lot more of complexity, so I'd drink this about now.

Better than last bottle. No oxidation just powerful, honeyed fruit. Oddly it didn't taste that dry even besides a Haut Lieu 97 moelleux.

Aged, old world characters, Nose rich, yet past it's best in freshness, acidity and lacking in appeal. Past it's best.

Oxidized but nutty. Combines with Jamon serrano!

Wine Education Service - The Loire Valley (Imperial College): A bit oxidised, honeyed fruity nose, baked apples.
Honey and ripe fruit in the mouth, good balance, fruity attack, apple pie mid palate, good length.
