My Rating: VG+. Surprisingly feminine and vibrant given the involvement of Derenencourt & Co. After 2 hours of air, color darkened to a dusky mauve, bright cassis, cherry, black olive, vanilla and menthol on the nose. On the palate: light-medium body, high-toned, intense blackberry and sour raspberry, silky tannins, vibrant acidity, long finish with cranberry notes. This is a very food-friendly wine which can pair well with much lighter fare than beef. Drink over next 2-4 years.
