Much improved with age. Notes of prunes and other pitted fruit. After a couple of hours, the fruit recedes and the tannins are slightly more pronounced. Drinking well now.

2007 Paso Casa Gran falcata Monastell 34%, Garnacha Tinto 33%, Syrah 33%. Alc 14.5% Dark purple. Serious bramble and brush with ripe blackberries. Nice earthiness. Still young and vibrant with moderate tannins

As before, but a lot more black cherry, cocoa, and earth, tannin comes across, but now as lighter etching to the palate. Nice overall. Probably time to drink up.

Bright ruby color, medium nose of wild berries, on the palate medium body, gripping tannins with raspberry notes coming from the Grenache, while the Monastrell lends suppleness, and hit of roasted spices, I believe from the Syrah. Paired with spice (all spice, coriander, nutmeg, fennel seeds cumin) rubbed pork tenderloin and potato Rostï. Drinking well right now.
