  Cork equally crumbly as previous bottle. Less browning too, fairly bright. Not immediately so attractive but opened up while the colour deepened too. Nose didn't give out much but lovely dark cherry and cranberries, some root vegetables, fair acidity, medium length. Some warm spices, slight touch of cola. An intriguing and very enjoyable wine. And definitely still alive.

  Cork equally crumbly as first bottle. However not same nasty taste. less browning too, fairly bright. Not immediately so attractive but got going over a couple of hours, while the colour deepened too. Nose didn't give out much but lovely dark cherry and cranberries, some root vegetables, fair acidity, medium length. Some warm spices, slight touch of cola. Actually, an intriguing and very enjoyable wine. Who'd have thought it would last as long?
