I’ve had this wine a number of times since 2014, all from a case I bought on release. This has always been a solid effort, if somewhat short of exciting, and it remains so today. More red-fruited on both the palate and the nose, with good acidity and an acerbity on the finish. This is not tired, but my case is almost done, so I won’t be able to track this wine’s evolution much longer. For what is essentially an entry-level wine that probably sold for around $20-25 on release, this has been a good example of an everyday wine that is still quite capable of favorable development in the bottle over a decade or more.

Can't even believe the journey this wine has made: from the terribly watery nothingness to this! Quite a nice drink! It took it 10 years to find me again.
I'd be happy to drink it again, but not (still) considering a new purchase.
Simply not the style we prefer, but for all the Gamay and Beaujolais lovers out there: go get your treat!!!

This isn't bad, but I just had a glass of the 2011 Passopisciaro and I prefer that wine to this. That said, this is still solid, so maybe just a personal preference on my part.

Garnet; warm fruit & leather; soft fruit, grainy tannins not fully resolved; flatters to deceiver, with a rugged finish.
