Tasted vis-a-vis the 2005, this is of course the lighter wine, brighter also, more open with local joie de vivre. Garrigue, chalk, good acidity, red berries in the background. Certainly no hurry. #VincentParisChezMoi

Much darker in color compared to the 2004 Vincent Paris Granit 60 and less evolved. While the Granit 60 is ready to drink, this wines needs more time. Yes, it is not as massive as the 2005 La Geynale, but it it still displays primary fruit with some bacon, olive, iron notes in a medium bodied palate. I believe there is much to come in 5 years even if there was some evolution in the glass. Granit 60 tasting chez Lillelund.

2 ans depuis ma dernière bouteille. Ouvert 30 min puis bu durant 2h. Grenat limpide, nez discret sur les fleurs et la tapenade d’olives puis gras de jambon. Plutôt fin et soyeux, m’a fait pensé à un Vosne 1er cru, bonne longueur. A boire avec de la réserve.

The wine is clear, with medium ruby colour, garnet towards the rims, and thick legs.
On the nose, the wine is clean, with medium plus primary aroma intensity of red fruits, plums, cassis, red berries, spices, black pepper, hints of citrus, floral, medium secondary aroma intensity of clove, along with medium tertiary aroma intensity of meat, earth, and hints of cooked fruits.
On the palate the wine is dry, with medium plus acidity, medium smooth tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus primary flavour intensity of red fruits, sour cherries, forest berreis, plums, spices, floral, along with medium tertiary flavour intensity of meat.
Finish is long, with pronounce minerality towards mid-palate.
The wine is of a very good quality, as it is showing excellent balance between flavour intensity, acidity, and minerality. It is having great length, and multi layers of characteristics, both on nose and palate, which complementing its complexity.
The wine was very appealing at time of tasting, pleasant, expressive and elegant. I believe that this is the time to fully enjoy its potential.
