Dark garnet color with nice viscosity. Aromas of dark fruit and camphor. A power house. Very ripe dark fruit flavors with with lots of alcohol. Having said that, it's well integrated with a very lengthy and pleasant finish. Can't imagine a food pairing.

Pop and pour - note after 2 hours. Blackberries and licorice on the nose. This opened up with a bit of air, showing lots of black fruit, spice and pepper. Fruit seems to be fading and a bit of heat on the finish. Nice wine but I don't see a reason to hold on to it.

A little bit of a roasted fruity flavor but not too much. I like it.
