  Tasted blind. Deep bronze, smells like very old Sauternes with caramel, saffron, brine, and some chlorine pool. Citric acidity with some orange, salty caramel, mostly digested sugar leaves a slightly bitter metallic finish. Reminds me of a '61 Suduiraut tasted last year, guessing this has to be a Sauternes of similar era.

  Fourth Annual White Truffle Dinner (David Burke's Primehouse - Chicago IL): Very dark golden color, almost brown. Caramel and botrytis on nose. Sweet orange, orange zest, caramel and butterscotch on palate. Sweetness has moderated, good finessed, subtle end.

  LdC 4th Annual Truffle Dinner (Primehouse): Full deep golden color. Full nose of caramel with nutmeg spice and clear botyritis notes. Full tight caramel butterscotch with a hint of orange on the palate. Mild sweetness and good complexity. Interesting, but difficult to describe. 93-94 pts.
