Not a fan of the '03s (too top heavy, not structured enough) and didn't have high hopes for this Cru Bourgeois but this has done nicely. Tannins have resolved, classic cabernet profile, and it's all holding together nicely. Pleasing claret (luncheon claret) that is likely at its peak.

Closed nose on bottle opening. Initial taste was tart berries but after 3 hours of decanting it really opened up. Drink this wine soon though, it's approaching the end of its life

Popped and Poured. Initially closed nose, but started to open after only a few minutes. Initial taste was cherries and berries. Over the course of an hour, the flavors really started to emerge. And kept on changing, but still along the fruit line. Generally a more delicate wine. Would have benefited from a bit (1-2hrs) of decanting. Pretty good QPR.

Cedar and tart fruit on the nose. Palate mimicked the nose. Nothing special here, but ok.

Higher percentage of cabernet in the 2003. An unexpressive, fairly closed nose. Ripe cassis fruit. Fairly soft tannins.
