This was a really impressive bottle. Considering its age and its less than pristine storage conditions, I thought it would be cooked and over the hill. In fact it was very pleasant, with plenty of drive and life left. Clear gold of medium plus intensity. The nose is clean, medium plus in intensity, with hints of baked apples, toasted hazelnuts, peaches, bitter lemon and honey. The nose is developed. The palate is dry and consistent with the nose. The acidity is medium. The alcohol is medium at 12.5%. Still, it has a lot of body and weight. Body and flavor intensity are medium plus. The finish is medium. Drink now, as I really don't think it's going to be any better and probably has started a slow decline. Overall, a great example of tihs relatively rare style of wine, and could easily pass for a much more expensive white Chateauneuf-du-Pape. 30% Marsanne, 30% Viognier, 30% Bourboulenc and 10% Clairette.

Très bon remplacement de vin rouge. Servi avec canneloni.
