  • Slightly reluctant aromas of honey and nuts. On the palate, more of the same, with light yellow fruit, honey, faintly nutty. Improved over the course of a couple hours, and as it warned up, with more fruit and honey coming out and more aromatic volume in general on the nose. Shows some alcohol, but still quite enjoyable and not way out of line for this style of wine. Certainly not inexpensive at $65 retail, before discount, so some would probably question the value here, as it's priced like a near-top level CdP blanc... White Rhone fans would probably get a kick out of this rare bird (I forget the exact production but I want to say it's about 200 cases... ?).

  • Very disappointed. muted taste and a bit medicinal.

  • Initailly, on the nose, bitter almond, delicate flowers and after a while, butterscotch showed up and the floral notes became more pronounced. In the mouth, very rich and lacy even though that seems contradictory! This is not a sweet, fruity wine and the flavors are much more subtle than I would have expected. I would not have guessed that it had 14% alchohol. The wine gained complexity and richness and was best on the third day. This is a vey nice wine.***1/2
