I let this one cellar too long. It got away from me. Compoaite cork easily removed. Consumed over three days, not able to be resurrected. Deep purple color with modest oxidation. Dried fruit, port quality bordering on burnt prunes in the aroma and flavor that overpowers the Blackberry component. This wine was wonderful early in its life, maybe a little too hot and sweet. Fruit from Hendry Ranch in Napa and winemaking overseen by Kent Rosenblum.

Very interesting experience, this wine. Lacked integration at first - wonderful aromas of plums, currant, spice - but mostly alcohol in the mouth. Like grappa with a little wine added. After an hour or so it was more integrated - some earthiness and meatiness came through as well. It ultimately paired well with a radichio and calamari salad AND a chevre ravioli.

Very red color, mostly clear, medium body. Nose is mostly floral, less fruit and caramel. Agree with the last note, fruit has mostly faded from this, though if you hang with it long enough you get a sense of what it once was on the finish. Drink them if you still have them.

This is a big zin but with great depth and balance, the fruit hides the alcohol very well, excellent wine hitting its stride.
