In the bouquet hints of sherry, smoke and oak. On the palate a touch of peat, smoke, oak and caramel. Some floral impressions as well. Easy drinking, elegant whisky.

Original distillery bottling, believed bottled some 30 years ago; square, clear glass bottle with a pinch and a light coloured label - the design that was introduced in 1981. Leaflet in bottle shows a barrel end with the indication "1970" on it, which would make the bottling year 1982. In mint condition. Attractive, pale golden colour; light and heathery, but with richer smoked barley notes too and a hint of peat, lovely balance, nice complexity; slightly estery on the long finish. Not without substance, elegant style, clearly an aperitif whisky.

Malty, citrus, caramel and some vanilla coming through. Not peatty or smoky. Smooth finish. Pretty good for an every day non challenging splash.

Deep amber
Some light peat, burnt oak, leather
Packs a punch, a lot more smokey peat than what i was expecting.
Light belly burn, super long finish
Not really my 'cup of scotch'.
