  • My last of two bottles. Had the first in 2019. This is still going strong and will hold for years. Red orange brick color but otherwise ageless. Firm acids are wonderful with food. Earth, tobacco and leather notes. Faint wood of course. Orange peel in the background. So complex and hard to separate the individual parts. I am so lucky to be able to drink this. Decanted about 45 minutes before dinner and drank over 60 minutes with dinner. Fantastic and memorable.

  • Wow. 65 years and not a hint of brown in the color. Medium red. Sweet cherry and American oak, dusty earth, tobacco. Nice acid. It was great before the first bite of dinner and even better with the hanger steak. It also had no problem handling the fried artichoke hearts. Deep, rich and complex. This is amazingly good. You would never guess the age. A good birthday treat for me. Decanted 30 minutes before drinking.

  • Still rather vivid and drinkable, but clearly well beyond its peak. Little fruit, high acidity. This was the MS bottle, so the remaining bottles with higher fills may be fresher.
