This was unfortunately maderized but the tobacco and salted meat was there. But man, was I disappointed. It was a Danish bottling, so maybe that is why as I have had chateau-bottlings from 1930's that is some of the best wines I've ever had!

Pichon Lalande Tasting: (IN fill, reconditioned at the Chateau in 1981, Adouzed for 2 hours). Sweet and sour smell, with minerals, red fruits hinting at raspberries, forest floor --- but not much. Sleek and feminine in the mouth, very pleasant, weel-balanced, soft. The age is showing, but it kept well for a good 3 hours in the glass.

Again a light brown example. Almost orange. Scents of leaves. Well balanced and nicely sized. Very, very harmonious and resolved. There are flavours of peppar in abundance here. This is really very complex and multi dimensional. Last time I had this I loved it too. Falls apart in the glass after about 30-40 minutes. But what 30 minutes!
