Dark red with tons of sediment. Fresh-painted room on the nose. Thick texture for a Pinot, and a bit of that fresh painted room invades the taste profile , along with cherry cough syrup (albeit mild), and tasty black fruit mash. Rated more from interest than delight.

Like most Ken Wright wines, this is a pure, concentrated wine. Compared to other vintages from Freedom Hill, it runs a little hot with alcohol. The sting subsides after an hour or so open, and it no doubt has plenty of life. I like the prior vintages that I've tasted ('98,'99,'00,'02) better than this one. 15% alcahol is simply too much.

Solid pinot. No signs of heat considering the 15% alc. A lot of earthy tones on the nose, full-bodied palate, and lingering finish. Great wine for the money.

Very quiet nose, a little pungent. Tasty pinot on the sweet side. Not much going on other than that.

Nice full bodied Pinot; perhaps just a little weak on the finish.
