91 Lafite - you would expect it to be dead given the poor vintage however it wasn’t and far from it. Granted it lacked density but it gave the typical left bank characteristic amid in milder dosages.

Lafite Dinner 2019 (Blue Hill): 65% Merlot blend gives this wine a really interesting and light profile that can potentially be mistaken as, for its Burgundian attitude, Rayas? Fairly green, bell pepper, honey-like sweetness, heading towards a stop on the clean palate. 93

Drunk blind. Major green pepper aromas on the nose, that evolves quickly towards something more complex and refined. Very poor vintage, but great terroir ends up in a wine that our group ended correctly identifying as Left Bank Bordeaux. Not much interest in waiting any longer: drink up!

Deep garnet. Bright sour cherry core featuring dark chocolate all leading the way to tea leaves and earthy undercurrents. Layered with further blood and rusty notes on the palate where the silky texture and bright acidity keeps the wine alive.

Wine was very thin and light. Had a burgundy feel to it. Wine is on decline but still has some life left to it. Was at its best 1 hour after opening.
