  still going strong. amazing secondary characteristics. a bit of heat but not distracting. loved it.

  More Vosne Premier Cru than anything California. Josh Chandler, a great mix of artist, scientist, documentarian and bon vivant, hit another home run with this one. The label tells everything you might want to know, including the expected maturity curve of 5 -12 years. This one, 8 years out, is entering its sweet spot. Will apportion the few remaining bottles with the same care as for Burgundies costing 4x more.

  Heavy, double-thick bottle with clean wax capsule and extra-long, impeccable cork. Full info on bottle: recommended ageing, 5-12 years; yield per acre; vine age and clones; vinification details. Bottle #6436, FWIW. A baby. Tannic and primary. Good stuffing for a much longer haul, and too soon to rate. Open these along with 2005 Premier Cru red Burgundies -- 3-10 years from today.
