This was a very good if not profound Lynch Bages. Showing Pauillac typicity with cassis, pencil lead and earthy notes on the nose with a trace of BBQ smoke. Medium to full-bodied with some tannins still to be resolved. Good length and enough mouth-watering acidity to keep me coming back for more. This should see some upside with another 5 years or so in the cellar.

like some many 2006's, this is fabulous, but just a baby and has years ahead of it - it seems a very underrated vintage - rated as tasted today - leave for at least three years

93-94 pts

Tannins are strong upon opening but at about hour 3 the fruits start matching up making for a beautiful wine. Lots of life and energy ahead but approachable now with time open.

(Château Lynch-Bages) Intriguing tart plum and graphite nose; soft black fruit entry, with charcoal, coffee and minerals, firm tannins, needs a few years; medium finish

Opened and realised it was still very young and needed plenty of air.
Decanted a total of 12 hours and it really did not change the wine that much. Still mostly primary. Very tannic and young.
It is a good, well made wine but it is just too young to fully appreciate right now. Wait ten more years.
