Community Tasting Notes (3) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Seemingly life ever-lasting here. Although showing a hint of 'torrefaction' this remains startlingly fresh and elegant. Not explosive but demure. Drunk over three days and best on day three! I note that Richard Kelley MW has given this wine a very high commendation on his Guide to The Loire website.

  • Although over the hill somewhat it was still fun to drink with flowers and tropical fruits on the nose, nice finish and enough acid not to be cloying

  • Dark yellow in color, this medium bodied wine had fresh, crisp acidity and flavors of minerals and lemons. More developed than most Huets of a more advanced age with a medium plus length finish. When judged on it's own this is a really nice bottle fo wine but when viewed as part of the Huet continuum I find it lacking the depth, concentration and noble nature of so many other Huets. This is it's biggest fault, which may be an unfair way to judge the wine. 50+13+12+8+8 = 91
