Excellent aged chenin. Classical flavor profile and the mouthfeel is both steely and creamy. Really good stuff with an hour of air and a warm up to near room temp. Hard to imagine it getting better, but going strong with some years to go.

Wow! Trademark Loire Chenin - nose of wet wool, chamomile tea, white flowers. Very aromatic. Palate has moderate to moderate-plus acid, yet a round body. Flavors of quince come to mind, but this wine is just so eclectic - it's much more about the nose than palate. After about an hour in glass, the chamomile notes shined through more and became apparent on the palate as well. Can easily go a few more years, but drinking well now.

These Baumard screwtops are showing very well (11 year old white). This bottle is definitely demonstrating some more youthfulness compared to the 05 from a few months ago. On the nose some musty ricola-like aromatics blend in with wet wool, green tea, and something that reminds me of a creek/brook. On the palate I detect some sweetness (I didn't pick this up from the previous bottle), but much higher acidity (hence the youthfulness). Overall this has a very gorgeous ethereal quality. Major flavors at play are tea, apple, nutmeg, cinnamon, and pear.

(Baumard Savennieres) #3; COLOR-golden; NOSE-this is wild; a little orange peel/Gran Marnier action; heavy dose of ripe pear dripping all over you; sugar cubes; very high floral action as well; very spicy & racy (radish); very complex; a hint of burnt rubber; TASTE-very dry; this is an exceptional food wine (especially w/ shellfish); the wine is very creamy on the palate; heavier viscosity on the mouthfeel than I expected; undeniably this wine has very pure pear flavors on the mid-palate; good length; nice acid coming through on the back-end; missing a little of the oomph; a gorgeous mouthfeel; drink now; I'm a little disappointed as I had high hopes for this great producer; WS-90; GV-88+

Brad Feels Like Cooking Dinner (Brad's Place, St. Paul, MN): Light straw color. Drank a glass over an hour. Citrus, white peach, wool, mineral, sleek and focused. Very good.
