This bottle was singing tonight. My WOTN out of fairly impressive lineup, this was just perfectly in the zone. Beautifully aromatic with pretty but masculine ripe fruit. Delicious!

A very good and "honest" expression of mature Gevrey and Clos St Jacques at that is the fully mature 1988 CSJ. It is a touch old school with a bit of dust and then wonderfully earthy, peppery, with still enough fruit to lift it. Drink now and enjoy.

Good energy and fruit for an '88, but overall a somewhat one-dimensional wine by the standards of Rousseau CSJ. Good, but not compelling. 92-93
