From a 3L bottle. Wow, just wow. Acacia floral scents and ripe apple pie aromas with a touch of sweet yellow corn jump from the glass in the most beguiling way. A truly epic complete and seamless wine with everything harmoniously in balance. Creamy and dense white orchard fruits give way to a clean bright lingering finish. Elegant and delicious with subtle spices through. Truly magnificent!

200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Ok, when you thought this flight could not get any better, this perfect wine came around. Richer, riper but with lots of minerals. This was the favorite of group, rich ripe plush. DRC’s Chard reputation was rescued by its bottle. May be a cooler vintage helped a wine that I usually find too late picked/nutty in its aroma profile.

(Romanée-Conti Montrachet) Medium-pale yellow with just a tinge of green to the rim. Citrus, apple, peach and toasty bread all glued together with a botrytis note - lots of things you can find on the nose. Once you put your lips to the glass you're in for quite an experience - the wine is just so fat you can't believe that it can be balanced - but balanced it is. Somehow seems to have a mineral streak running through its centre too. Very long. Yep - I'm impressed!
(DRC Montrachet) Lemon, honey, apple spice, minerals. Maybe a hint of peanut butter. Incredibly unctuous in the mouth with mindnumbing complexity and richness. Waves of hazelnuts, coconut, toffee, poached pears and other slightly candied fruits just attack the palate. Perfectly balanced with a long lingering and incredibly dense finish. This was showing beautifully

Great balance, good energy. Well defined. Vintage is a very good spot.

Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/10/2022-3/11/2022 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Brilliant aromas pull you in, complex and unfolding flavors of savory and near-sweet fruit keep you engaged. Long finish, so powerful, while lithe. From the same source as the bottle I tasted a few months ago, tonight's might have been even better.
